Comments Interesting and useful site for use in aiding the participants in the UBM&S program.

We are in our junior year of High School with our daughter and looking at Colleges… I stumbled on your collegeprep-101 and just wanted to say that it looks like it should help us a lot…  My main focus right now is admission requirements and lesson 1 has lots of real good information…. Thanks…

I was at your presentation in St. Louis last week.  You convinced me to take a look.

I am the Associate Director of College Advising at our K-12 independent school.  We are the largest independent school in the southeast.  I have advised high school students in college counseling for about 20 years, and would be happy to be a resource from the high school side for you site.  Our graduates are 100% accepted to colleges throughout the country!

Send a WEB site guide for cp101.  Thank you so much.  Keep up the great work.  I use the materials to teach my university experience class.  Thanks again!

It is neat to find out about different colleges in the U.S.  There is not much to choose from in Canada.

 It's a GREAT site!!

Great site - I teach freshmen in an optional orientation course, and I think this site is great!  It would be a great role model for other colleges to follow, especially for new students who do not opt for our course, which covers many of the same topics you cover, only in a localized, fashion.  Congratulations on providing such a needed site, even for colleagues like myself at a much smaller state institution.  Bravo!  Chat, Sue, Academic Advisor, University of West Florida

Loved your site!  I have one suggestion:  include "syllabus" in your section on college terminology.  In my experience with community college students, most have no idea what one is, let alone how important it will be to their success.  Keep up the great work!

Congrats!  The time, effort and expertise you devoted to this project is obviously paying big dividends.

Excellent Job, just started using this site!

 This system is wonderful.

 I like what I see.

 Very nice

II am disabled, and looking for something new.

I'm looking for Study Skills materials and college prep information for my high school students.

This course is getting better all the time. Thanks for making it available.  I've enjoyed seeing it progress into what it is today.

Lance, thank you for sharing your website.  Very informative format, liked the different chapter authors.  Mike.

Currently, I am a Career Counselor/Academic Advisor employed at Rose State College.  I heard about your page and have even recommended it to students.  Just wanted to see what I am recommending!

Somehow I came across your CollegePrep-101 site, and it is really a wonderful concept.  I am very impressed.

First time college parents need all the help we can get in learning about OSU and what our student and ourselves will be going through.  Thank you!

You have created a great website that provides college bound students with helpful information regardless of where they plan to go to school.  Thanks for your efforts in producing your site.

 I like CollegePrep!

Thanks for the information your group has provided on Internet with regard to.

I greatly enjoyed looking around you CollegePrep-101 site.  I believe it is a wonderful tool for prospective and arriving students. Great job overall!  I believe it is the most comprehensive “student” site I’ve seen so far.

The success of the course stems a great deal from the enthusiasm and flexibility of Lance.

I will be teaching a high school elective entitled “collegeprep.English.”  I would like to look at this course to see if I should recommend it to my students.

Please send me information regarding the waiver on non-residence fees and your college of education.

I wrote Lance and Piyush after I saw the re-design which I think looks GREAT!!!

I like what you did and I think it is very helpful to new students as well as old students.

I teach an extended Orientation/College Success course at a community college in San Antonio, TX.  I am developing a web component and was referred to your site as an example of a well developed site.

I feel as if this sight will help several students in preparing for college.  It will also help the students to better themselves in continuing a great college education.  This website in my opinion is a great idea, it will help several of us college bound seniors to really think about what we plan to do after High School.

I am a Peer Advisor for the Freshman Academy at BYU and I am interested in ways that freshman can enter high school more prepared for the experience.

This is great!  My students will be visiting this site!  Thank you!

Great IDEA - I am working on a similar plan for college preparation - but mine is a heavy duty survey course.  I will have some of it offered for free.  I’ll contact you when it’s ready.  You can maybe link to me.

Thanks for taking the time to help me.  I’m hoping this site will help a little.

I am a high school educator and have looked long and hard for your type of informative to share with my students in various career and technology classes.  Your site is wonderfully informative and am beginning to use it in my classes. I know this site took a tremendous amount of time, energy, commitment, focus and stress but each of you is to be commended.

I am a senior Sociology major at the university of Richmond, VA.  I am interested in secondary education, and I discovered your CollegePrep-101 website while looking for educational resources. I just wanted to say that it is EXCELLENT!!!!  I will be sharing it with a group of inner-city high school students with whom I volunteer.

Currently using OSU/ASTS Distance Learning Courses for Grades 3-12 and staff development.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  I can’t thank you enough.  Your CollegePrep-101 usage is a life saver.  I learned so much from your suggestions and essays from various people and it has prepared me for what to expect when I get to college in August.  I think the most interesting and relevant ones for me were the time management and study skills lessons.

What a great site!!!  Yours is one of the very best!  The information is complete and down-to-earth.  I found your Bonus Lesson#2 for parents to be especially helpful.  It reflects a lot of thought and effort to share the benefit of your experience.

Students who read the materials you have assembled are much more likely to grasp the realities of college life.

I am an educational consultant for the home-education community. I saw an article in the Tulsa World on the CollegePrep-101 website. I have been reading that information and it is very helpful.

Thanks for the time and effort to put all the information on the Internet.

Congrats on your article in the Tulsa World.  I am proud of you.  I have also read all of your material on the WEB.  We have copied it and will use it as a resource guide in 007.  Good work!

I am really impressed with what I’ve seen so far!  I think this is going to benefit a lot of people in a bunch of areas.  Congratulations on a great job!

Lance A. Millis, Senior Academic Counselor at Oklahoma State University has done a fantastic web site athttp://collegeprep.okstate.edu/ which contains great information for students as well as a section for parents.

From OSU, this site purports to help students prepare for college, and when you look at the Table of Contents, you see they've done the job -- 30 "chapters" on what to expect and how to handle college.  Very good stuff here.  --Bluehouse.com

An informative site for students who are new to the college entrance process.  CollegePrep-101 is a no-nonsense website with lots of reading involved.  After completing this course, you should be better able to make an educated decision as to a college, and have the tools to be successful once you get there.

As I've said time and time before, I think the CollegePrep-101 course is great.  I will certainly tell the students that I come in contact with in the fall about the course.

Thanks for the site you put up.  It gave me many ideas.

An excellent place to learn about going to college.  Great stuff!

While some information may seem particularly geared to OSU, it is incredibly useful for students no matter what college or university in which they have an interest.

I am a 16 year old girl who will be starting college this January. Due to unfortunate medical circumstances, I was forced to leave high school early.  So, now I am working on a GED, then community college, and then the big tomato!  But anyway, I just wanted to say I really like your pages!  They're terrific for people like me who are nervous and don't know what to expect in college.

I want to say thank you for your fine work. I am a parent ready to see my son off to UT Austin and he'll certainly benefit from you keen insights and perspectives.

Nice job on the CollegePrep-101 pages…clear, easy to read!

I want to thank you and congratulate you on CollegePrep-101.  I was surfing the Internet for college entrance stuff for my son and stumbled upon it.  I was really impressed and then I saw the OSU logo!  What a great tool for college prep and a great plug for OSU. Excellent job!!!

During a brief tour, it seems like a helpful site and I appreciate that it is free to new students.  I also appreciate your attempt t highlight OSU but also sharing general information.

Just wanted to thank you for your website.  I'm hosting a CollegePrep at my church in April for around 50-100 high school juniors and seniors and your material will be very useful.  I'm going to include your website on my must see list.  Thanks again.

Thank you for the CollegePrep-101 course.  It has been very informative, and I enjoyed it very much.

Thanks for the great inf. about college life.  My parents looked forward to getting each lesson as much as I did.  They even made notes of things to remember.  Thanks for trying to make it easier for me as I head to college.

Great web page & I will be referring all of the high school seniors and juniors I see this year to your page.  I'm the Enrollment Management Specialist at Three Rivers Community College in a small town in SE Missouri.

 Thanks for a GREAT site!

I appreciate your effort to provide this college preparation course. I'll try to get as much as I can from this course.

First of all, thanks for this resource!  The information is useful and wonderful.

Thanks for your help.  I read around in your book on the www.  I like it a lot.

101 is fantastic for my daughter going to college and for my students, thanks for sharing.

Just wanted to give you a big thanks for the time you put in on the CollegePrep-101 site.  As a mother of a high school senior and a 7thgrade teacher in Enid, OK, I appreciated the insights that were offered.

 I appreciate your website!

Yes it was National Public radio.  The morning host was interviewing an "e-columnist" (sic.- my term) who writes other road site attractions on www.m.ive.com/mradio.

Very impressed by your web pages, they are very informative.

Really nice web page.  The information is very useful so much so that I printed out each one.

Thanks for all the helpful tips!

We are all lucky to have someone like you who not only cares, but really enjoys his work.

I just wanted to take a brief moment of your time to commend you on your OUTSTANDING CollegePrep-101 web page.  It was very insightful and a great help.

I want to say you have an excellent site.

I wanted to tell you that you CollegePrep-101 page is AWESOME! I'm a junior at Florida International University (but this is my second year in college) and I enjoyed them.

I read with interest the article on CollegePrep-101 in the September issue of the Academic Exchange Quarterly.  It was of particular interest to me as I wok with an outreach program here at Columbus State University.  We attempt to demonstrate the post secondary options available to middle and high school students.

I would like permission t use several chapters of you CollegePrep-101 information.  The information will be used in a Resource Directory distributed to students completing the 1997 NASA sharp Plus Program.

The inter-activity of CP101 is impressive.

I want to compliment you on the Pistol Pete information stickers with web-site addresses.  I would love to have a few more if available.  Those are so innovative and informative for the web savvy kids down here, where OSU is not a household name.  Much thanks….Jim Hawkins

This is a great opportunity and I hope I have the chance to attend in the next few years.

Daughter is very bright and gifted high school junior.  Your information is excellent.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

I would be interested in the newsletter.  (Tammy Pratt, 30+, Educator from the Univ. of Missouri-Rolla)

This is a wonderful site for all seniors in HS…keep updating it.  I am teaching seniors in a college prep environment and this will be a great help to them.

Thank you very much of the availability of College Preparation Resources.  I have forwarded this to a site teacher who is working on a grant that will include a career center component.  -Jess Castillo, Principal
